On September 6, families from coast-to-coast will go back to school with Arthur – everyone’s favorite aardvark – in a new one-hour Arthur movie, “Arthur’s First Day,” on PBS KIDS (check local listings). It’s a new school year and both Arthur and D.W. are moving up a grade! In the special, Arthur and his friends navigate new teachers, make new friends and go on new adventures!

In “Arthur’s First Day,” it’s finally the first day of fourth grade, and Arthur and his friends couldn’t be more excited! But – GASP – Arthur and Buster find out they’re in different classes! While Buster makes a new friend and begins a mysterious adventure around the school, Arthur starts forming a new friendship of his own and worries he may be losing his best friend. Meanwhile, D.W. and her best friend Emily are starting their very first day of kindergarten! When Emily starts having the worst first day ever, it’s up to her Big Buddy Muffy to show her the ropes of her new school.
